Premise
Leanus allows you to upload balance sheets and accounting situations in different ways. It is possible to upload and process official balance sheets, downloaded directly from the Company Register, as well as “proprietary” trial balances and accounting situations downloaded from other systems or processed in Excel.
Furthermore, Leanus allows you to simultaneously manage different data sources and harmonize them. For example, you can analyze a company using 5 deposited balance sheets and as many accounting situations (even intra-annual) coming from different systems (Management, Excel spreadsheets, etc.) and in different formats (PDF, XLS, XBRL, XML, CSV, etc)

CASE 1: Loading of balance sheets and accounting situations WITHOUT any intervention by the user
For all the following file types, no action is required. Simply upload the file using the +Load Balance Sheets procedure
- Financial statements filed at Company Register ITALY (useful operations, for example, to extend the analysis to 10 years and beyond or to load a balance sheet not present in the DB)
- Balance sheets filed with the Company Register SPAIN (useful operations, for example, to develop the Benchmark between an Italian and a Spanish company)
- Financial statements in format XBR extension
- Accounting Situations in PDF (in 70% of cases the user does not need to perform any intervention)
- Balance sheets and accounting situations downloaded in EXCEL from ModeBilJ
- Balance sheets and accounting situations downloaded in EXCEL from GALILEO
- Balance sheets and accounting situations downloaded in EXCEL from some Business Information services
- Balance sheets and accounting situations downloaded in XML from Leanus
In all these cases, simply follow the instructions. If the operation NOT is successful, choose the alternative procedure below or contact the Service Center for assistance.

Go to Menu / + Upload Financial Statements or in Home
Make the File Upload
Follow the fitting instructions

CASE 2: Uploading non-editable balance sheets and accounting situations (paper, image format, etc.)
This category includes the following types whose common feature is the impossibility of reading the data automatically:
- Balance sheets filed with the Company Register ITALY in optical format (XBRL or other electronic formats not available)
- Balance sheets and accounting situations in PDF whose automatic loading procedure failed
- Balance sheets and accounting situations in paper format
In all these cases you must choose the most suitable procedure. Here are some examples and related advice:
- The balance sheet or accounting situation is in format IDENTICAL to the one already present on Leanus
Then:
Go to Source and Reclassification/Manual Input Management
Duplicate the last accounting period
Enter the values Manually
Update
- The balance sheet or accounting situation is in format CIVILISTIC (or AQR) e DIFFERENT compared to the one already present on Leanus
Then:
Go to + Upload Financial Statements
Choose the option Manual Input of Accounting Data on Predefined Schemes
Follow the instructions and enter values manually
Update
- The balance sheet or accounting situation is in format DIFFERENT compared to the one already present on Leanus and not in civil law format
Then:
Go to + Upload Financial Statements
Choose the option Copy proprietary data to Leanus Excel templates suitable for uploading
Fill out the L2 form copying the data manually

CASE 3: Uploading balance sheets and accounting situations in electronic format but automatically processed by Leanus
This category includes balance sheets and accounting situations in Excel, XML, CSV, Word.
Here are some examples and related advice:
- The balance sheet or accounting situation is in format CIVILISTIC
Then:
Go to + Upload Financial Statements
Choose the option Copy proprietary data to Leanus Excel templates suitable for uploading
Fill out the L1 form copying the data (copy and paste)
Update
At the end of the operation the reclassification will be automatic.
- The balance sheet or accounting situation It is NOT in CIVIL format
Then:
Go to + Upload Financial Statements
Choose the option Copy proprietary data to Leanus Excel templates suitable for uploading
Fill out the L2 form copying the data (copy and paste)
Update
At the end of the operation it will be necessary to carry out the reclassification.
