The analysis of data on the resilience of the economic fabric of Tuscany

Alessandro Fischetti, Leanus Administrator, was a guest at Motor Italy – Tuscany to discuss the regional business system and to present research and analysis of data from the Milano Finanza rankings.
Leanus he analysed 178.183 2024 financial statements of all Italian companies with revenues > €500K (excluding consolidated) available as of 9.9.2025. The analysis shows that:
- Tuscany is the 6th region of Italy for Aggregate Revenues (€151 billion) preceded by Lombardia (€888 billion), Lazio (€435 billion), Veneto (€279 billion), Emilia Romagna (€262 billion) and Piedmont (€154 billion);
- out of 11.682 Tuscan companies analyzed, 347 exceed €50 million in revenues and generate the 64% of Revenue overall of the Region;
- Revenues are in growth of 6% compared to 2023;
- EBITDA exceeds 8%.
The interesting fact concerns bank debt analysis in relation to investments. In fact, in the face of a net decrease of – €900 million in bank debt , il Net cash out for investments exceeds €10 billion. It therefore appears that the system is investing, but with less use of bank credit and greater recourse to self-financing or other forms.
Le Large Industrial Enterprises (especially Fashion and Energy Production) they record contractions sometimes exceeding 20% . On the other hand, it is growing strongly (+ 29%) Large Commercial Enterprises.
