How to develop Business Plan variants in a few moments, even monthly
Unexpected events like the coronavirus, or even normal positive or negative events, can determine some significant economic and financial consequences in the short and medium term, making obsolete all the hypotheses of a business plan that must be completely questioned. It is therefore necessary to be fast and flexible in re-setting new scenarios and variants that allow management to understand on which levers to act, even 2/3 scenarios, of the sensitivity tests or stress tests useful for understanding all the risks of an industrial plan or turnaround or simply understanding the effects on the indices that determine the business crisis (Legislative Decree 14/19). In the most critical situations it is even necessary to set assumptions on the main economic and equity variables on a monthly basis (or quarterly) to understand cash risks.
